    That might be true for some, about having to do something with your hands. I have bitten my nails all my life, because it gratifies me somehow, but it’s about much more than my hands. I wish the didn’t look bad though and I can’t have fake nails or nail polish. Oh well–I guess my choices are quit or take the consequences of not quitting.

        Oh no–that sounds worse and more painful, and goes along with it being something with the mouth and not just the hands like the article says. I’ll stick with biting my nails, although since I do tarot readings, I have to move my hands fast so they don’t look ugly!

        Maybe chewing gum or something would help you–they say that chewing motions make people calmer, something to do with the brain. I’d have to look it up again but I believe it.
